Fight to Expand Our CA Film & Television Tax Incentive

We need YOU in the fight to protect and expand our California Film & Television Tax Incentive Program!

This will be another big year for our California Film & Television Tax Incentive Program Fight.

Simply put, we know the California Film and Television Tax Incentive program has been effective in preserving and creating jobs in California. The success of this program has been made apparent by the unprecedented consistency of work our members have seen and the welcoming of hundreds of new members over the past several years.

The current California Film & TV Tax Incentive program sunsets in 2025. As it stands, California Governor Gavin Newsom has remained committed to the success of this program and placed an extension until 2030 into the budget. This is a good first step, but we want to be very clear this is NOT a done deal. The budget still must go through committees and voting process in the Assembly and Senate before it gets to the Governor’s desk. In collaboration with the Entertainment Union Coalition, our goal will be to use this year to educate newly elected legislators around the benefits of the program for our members, vendors, and our state’s economy. We will need our members help in this process.

Outside of fighting to increase and expand the program, we are also looking to include additional safety provisions and defined outreach to educate and create pathways to join the industry workforce throughout all communities.
